Community Update
Hopefully, you have noticed that the new site design that has been
literally months in the making is here. Here are some of the
highlight and plans for the future too.
Conscious Mail Response Request see below
 | One of the main reasons for the new site design is the Conscious Control
Panel on the top of all the pages. This makes the site's basic
function pages one click away always and hopefully makes it easier to get
around. The left side navigation bar is for the content areas
of the site. Those links lead to portal main pages that are
gateways to the pages in those areas.

The
Conscious Dialogue Boards have finally arrived. The boards allow
for direct member interaction around the posted topics. We are
starting with a limited list of topics which will certainly expand.
I am really excited to see what can happen as this wonderful
community of folks gets a chance to interactively itermingle.
The
Conscious Directory Pages
are online now too. This is an opportunity to spread the word about
yourself professionally. And a chance to give the membership
good information about what and who is out there and chance to
support deserving Conscious Merchants, Practitioners, Centers and
Services. Also Full Subscribing members get a Basic
Listing for free. Please check this section out and
help it grow through your participation and patronage.
Also
we have a reciprocal linking program in place as a way to give us a
chance to spread the word about your website and visey vercy.
| There has been considerable mail regarding
the lack of response to messages being sent. Many members feel disappointed that the
messages that they send to other members are not responded to.
This is a request to do what may not be easy
but more conscious in letting someone know that you got their
message and that you don't feel in a place to want to start a correspondence.
Something on the order of "I appreciate your invitation to
connect but respectfully decline right now." How does this
sound? Suggestions

New Jewish criterion item has been added to the search page.
Just recently Jewish has been added (re-added actually) to the member
profiles and hence search pages. If you are Jewish please go to the
Edit Your Profile Page and click the Continue Button. Then
under Ethnic Origin, please select Jewish.
Also, please
note that because this item is new, the searches you do using
Jewish as a criterion will be sparser in the beginning until folks
update their profiles. We will be sending an e-mail announcement as
soon as the site itself gets a new look alerting members to this
change.

This conscious webmaster has had his hands full with all matter of
technological, relational, personal and psychic hurdles over the last
while. But things here, at least behind the scenes, are so much
smoother. This change in atmosphere will soon start to show up on the
site too. Please be patient and please consider supporting us
financially too. Your support is needed literally and psychologically.
As I have been going over the site in the design upgrade I have
been seeing all the really wonderful articles in the features and
forums sections. There are probably over 200 pages of neat stuff. I
will be highlighting them regularly. For example take a peak at Bert
Hoff's interview with Jeff Kipnis and Elizabeth Herron on
Gender Justice.
Virginia Lee's fine

Marianne Williamson is great as well.
Alan Cohen is also always a great positive perspectivizer for me.
